Argentina is the largest producer of wine in south America and is gaining international recognition for its impressive Malbecs. Originally from Bordeaux, this Malbec is now responsible for some of Argentina’s most famous wines. Most viticulture in Argentina takes place in the foothills of the Andes, the high altitudes giving rise to aromatic, intensely flavored red wines.
