Brunello di Montalcino: The 2012 Brunellos & 2011 Riservas (Mar 2017)

Dark ruby. Redcurrant, minerals and oak on the nose. Saline red fruit flavors are framed by spice and herb notes; the solid spine of acidity accentuates the tough tannins giving this a bit of a hard-edged, almost astringent quality.
