Bordeaux 2014: The Southwold Tasting (Mar 2018)

The 2014 Le Crock is just missing a little detail on the nose: broody, dark berry fruit, hints of graphite but it is missing some charm. The palate is medium-bodied with suppler tannin than its peers. There is plenty of tobacco and spice tinged black fruit with clove and white pepper towards the finish, but overall I would be seeking more precision. Tasted blind at the annual Southwold tasting.
