New Releases from the Langhe, Roero, Asti & More (May 2019)

The 2013 Barbera Monleale is plump, juicy and exceptionally polished. Sweet red cherry, plum, licorice, minerals, lavender, dark spices and new leather are nicely pushed forward. Readers should expected a nuanced, mid-weight Barbera that offers a more earthy/savory profile than is typical in Barberas from Asti, Alba, Roero or Monferrato. The 2013 is all class.
