Blind Vision: 2015 Burgundy Red & White (Nov 2018)

The 2015 Mazis-Chambertin Grand Cru is noticeably deep in color. It has a pure, detailed, quite intense bouquet with more black than red fruit, notes of struck flint and chalk becoming more evident with time. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, quite fleshy and malleable in the mouth though the acidity is finely tuned. Fanning out with confidence on the long, slightly ferrous finish, this is another deeply impressive 2015 grand cru. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting.
