Chablis 2022-2023: Here Comes the Sun King (Aug 2024)

The 2022 Chablis Côte de Léchet 1er Cru has a backward, recalcitrant bouquet with hints of petrichor and Granny Smiths. The palate is well-balanced with a fine bead of acidity, harmonious and just a touch of bitter lemon lends tension towards the finish, which is quite graceful. It is well-made and delicious, though perhaps not long-term. Tasted blind at the BIVB tasting in Chablis.
