Barolo and Barbaresco (Nov 2013)

Deep, bright red. Dark crushed cherry and inviting spices on the nose; less oaky than the 2009. A pure, silky midweight with red fruit flavors dominating. Finishes juicy, firm and long, with substantial ripe, slightly dry tannins and very good lift. Doesn’t have the distinction or ineffable perfume of the Cannubi, though.
