Tuscany Part 1: Chianti, Vino Nobile and Supertuscans (Sep 2014)

(100% sangiovese): Bright red. Fleshier and more fruit-driven than the 2010 Chianti Classico, offering aromas and flavors of raspberry, ripe red cherry and candied violet. Tangy and nicely focused, displaying a silky texture and slow-building sweetness. Closes with good energy and very pretty floral traces. Perhaps not exactly the last word in concentration or depth but fun to drink, so I’ll be generous.
