2009 Red Burgundies (Mar 2012)

Good deep red. Expressive aromas of blackberry, violet, leather and spices. A step up in energy from the Haut-Doix, with sweet dark fruit, cooked beet and spice flavors complemented by game and leather nuances. Here the wine’s saline element is nicely supported by primary fruits. Finishes with a fine dusting of tannins and lingering notes of licorice and leather.
