The Annual Red Bordeaux Report (May 2005)

(a blend of 80% merlot and 20% cabernets franc and sauvignon) Good red-ruby. Aromas of blackberry, licorice, iron and coffee. Moderately dense and plump in the mouth, with flavors of dark fruits, coffee, smoke, minerals and oak. Finishes with substantial, slightly dusty tannins and very good length. Late notes of chocolate and coffee liqueur. A bit chunky, but has good spine.
