2011 Bordeaux from the Bottle (Jul 2014)

Bright, deep ruby. Expressive aromas of blackcurrant, tobacco, licorice and spices are complicated by a note of torrefaction. Tight, juicy and intense, showing a floral blackcurrant flavor but little in the way of flesh today. Finishes pure and long. This minerally, floral wine is in need of at least four or five years of bottle aging, but I like its precision and purity.
