Vingt-Vingt Vins: Bordeaux 2020 (May 2021)

The 2020 Puygueraud presents a nose of earthy, broody black fruit infused with tobacco and cigar humidor; a faint touch of bell pepper surfaces with further aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with firm, grainy tannins and plenty of black fruit laced with tobacco and black pepper that lends it a Left Bank personality. Classic in style, this is a promising Francs Côtes de Bordeaux, though one cut from a more restrained cloth compared to recent vintages.
