2005 and 2004 Red Burgundies (Mar 2007)

Good bright ruby-tinged red. More serious, sappy aromas of black raspberry, black cherry, smoked meat and minerals. Lush and seamless wine with notes of chocolate and underbrush. Not the last word in thrust or intensity but possesses very good volume and balance. And there’s no shortage of material here. The yield was 42 hectoliters per hectare, but Gros emphasizes that there’s not a vine missing.
