Vintage Seeks Home: Bordeaux 2017 In Bottle (Jan 2020)

The 2017 Latour à Pomerol has a well defined and focused bouquet with expressive blackberry, briary, truffle and light loamy aromas that gradually unfurl in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins. Yet there is good backbone here. A lightly spiced Pomerol with hints of white pepper, sage and clove, lead to a structured finish that exerts satisfying grip. This should age well in bottle and may ultimately deserve a higher score.
