2013 and 2012 White Burgundies (Sep 2014)

(Boudot make just two barrels of this wine, vs. a normal ten, owing largely to the damaging hailstorm on August 1): Pale yellow. Subdued aromas of peach, crushed stone and white flowers. Dense and silky in the mouth, with solid saline minerality and lovely floral lift to the intense citrus and stone fruit flavors. Quite dry and rich, and rounder and a bit less hermetic today than the Perrieres. Finishes very long and smooth, with strong citrus character.
