A Century of…Sixes: 1846-2016

The 2006 Léoville Poyferré has one of my favourite bouquets from Saint-Julien, with melted red fruit, kirsch, orange blossom and a light figgy scent. Fine delineation. The palate is medium-bodied and quite structured with grainy tannins, just a touch of menthol but it seems more simpatico with the opulent fruit. With a powerful finish, this Poyferré will continue to give immense pleasure.
