2015 Bordeaux: Every Bottle Tells a Story… (Feb 2018)

I have not had good luck with the 2015 Petit-Village. The first sample was massively tannic and forbidding. A second bottle was marginally better. There, I saw a wine with good up-front appeal but not real depth or persistence to speak of. Needless to say, I liked the 2015 far better from barrel. If the 2015 is anything like the two bottles I tasted, Petit-Village is, sadly, one of the real disappointments of the vintage. This is the first vintage made under the stewardship of new technical director Diana Berrouet-Garcia. The blend is 71% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc and 9% Cabernet Sauvignon.
