Chile: A Stylistic Journey From the Andes to the Coastal Ridge (May 2021)

The 2019 Cerro Basalto is a blend of 38% Monastrell, 52% Garnacha, 24% Cariñena, and 6% Syrah from Los Lingues, Colchagua, aged for 18 months in concrete eggs and foudres. Ruby with a violet sheen, it offers a fruity, vibrant and complex nose featuring fresh cherries, black currant and blackberries along with hints of bacon and spice. Feels youthful in the mouth with a refreshing juiciness and lean, cool, prolix palate. A flavorful wine.
