A Century of Bordeaux: The Threes (Aug 2023)

The 2013 Pichon-Longueville Comtesse de Lalande has a savory, tertiary nose that is a little more gamey than the bottle at the château last year. The palate is medium-bodied with light tannins, granular texture and fine weight with a short but enjoyable, peppery finish. There might be slightly better examples out there, but only marginally better. Tasted at Bordeaux Index’s 10-Year On tasting.
