2009 Red Burgundies (Mar 2012)

Good bright red-ruby. Rather tight nose hints at blackberry, licorice and violet pastille. Densely packed, juicy and firm, with notes of blackberry, licorice, spices and fresh blood. The persistent, ripely tannic finish leaves behind a lovely violet perfume. Bachelet notes that this cuvee is always an assemblage of low and high vineyards.
