2006 and 2005 Red Burgundies (Mar 2008)

Good full red. Reticent, pure nose hints at crushed stone and minerals. Ripe, sweet black cherry flavor shows a sappy quality and an intriguing saline nuance. Very closed now but finishes chewy and long. This boasts excellent volume but I find it less aromatic and fine than the 2006. For his part, Liger-Belair describes it as more modern.
