Bryant’s Cabernet Sauvignon: 1994-2014 (May 2017)

Bright, dark ruby. Superripe aromas of raspberry compote and graphite minerality are complicated by a touch of herbs. In a rather muscular, backward style and a bit tough to taste today. Displays the slightly earthy, autumnal qualites often found in the ’96s but also possesses very good bite. Finishes with substantial dusty tannins. Much less opulent than the 2007. Bettina Bryant noted that this wine was a bit rustic in its youth, and it still needs further aging.
