Now, For My Latest Trick: Burgundy 2022 (Jan 2024)

The 2022 Puligny-Montrachet Champs Canet 1er Cru comes from a parcel towards the Meursault side. This has far more concentration than the Puligny Village: orchard fruit and lemon thyme, touches of flint coming through with time. The palate is well-balanced, with a bit of oak to be subsumed on the entry, fine grip and a concentrated finish. It may need more tension, but it should give a decade of drinking pleasure.
