1995 and 1994 Bordeaux (May 1996)

Black-ruby. Sweet, expressive aromas of bitter cherry, cocoa powder and caramel. Very sweet and very concentrated, but fresh and nicely defined. Intriguing gamey nuance. Substantial even tannins coat the mouth, but are buried under explosive finishing fruit. This wine shows considerably more personality, not to mention depth of fruit flavor, than the ’95. A superb ’94, and one not to miss.
