1999 and 1998 Red Burgundies (Mar 2001)

Deep red. Perfumed aromas of bitter cherry, raspberry liqueur and spicy oak. A bit chunky and severe today, and not yet expressive. Comes across as less precise than the Clos de l’Arlot but there much more wine here. Finishes with somewhat tough tannins. This will need a good four or five years of patience.
