2001 and 2000 Red Burgundies (Mar 2003)

(bottled in February of 2002) Good deep red. Rich, very ripe, slightly roasted aromas of strawberry, raspberry and redcurrant. Thick, ripe and sweet, with a compellingly mouthfilling texture. Concentrated, powerful and quite long, finishing with fine, ripe tannins and plenty of sweet oak. As ripe as this is, it’s also highly aromatic on the back. A thoroughly satisfying, rather New World style of Clos de Tart.
