2008 and 2007 Red Burgundies (Mar 2010)

Good full red. Redcurrant, black cherry, licorice, iron and graphite on the nose, complicated by mocha and game. Silky-sweet and intense, with harmonious ripe acidity giving shape to the middle palate. Finishes long, but with more powerful and less elegant tannins than the Champeaux. This will need a good seven or eight years of cellaring. Quite fresh for the vintage, as this parcel clearly benefited from the cooling influence of the combe
