2008 and 2007 Red Burgundies (Mar 2010)

(malo finished in July; from a blend of 65- and 50-year-old vines) Good red-ruby color. Red fruits and strong spicy oak on the nose. Intense flavors of red fruits, spices, flowers and minerals on the palate, with firm acidity giving this a classically dry impression. This is normally a round, supple wine in this line-up, but this 2008 has finesse and grip.
