2010 Red Burgundies (Mar 2013)

Good bright, dark red. Musky aromas of dark raspberry and roast coffee. A step up in volume from the 1er Cru but with a silky texture to the tactile flavors of red raspberry, red cherry, crushed stone and smoke. Wonderfully pure, palate-saturating wine with very fine tannins and lingering sweetness. Dugat told me that this wine was deeper in color and more obviously structured in the early going, but today it’s remarkably sexy if still very young.
