2010 Red Burgundies (Mar 2013)

Deep red-ruby. Blackberry, bitter chocolate and mint on the nose; classic Vaucrains. A liquid confection in the mouth: silky, ripe and sweet, with dark berry flavors complicated by livelier red cherry, mint and orange zest. This makes the Roncieres look almost chunky by comparison. Finishes very suave, broad and seriously structured, with sweet tannins spreading out to saturate the palate. Really wonderful depth of fruit and power here.
