2011 Red Burgundies (Jan 2013)

Bright, deep ruby-red. Cherry, redcurrant, spices, tobacco and minerals on the pure but shy nose. Elegantly styled, smooth and quite ripe, showing a saline aspect to its seamless redcurrant and mineral flavors. Rich but classically dry grand cru, finishing tactile, savory and unflagging. This wine has a relatively elevated 0.7 grams per liter of volatile acidity, which Liger-Belair describes as not high for this cellar, as he uses minimal sulfur during vinification and elevage.
