2011 Red Burgundies (Mar 2014)

Good bright, dark red. Very rich, chocolatey nose. Rich and ripe but at the same time saline and classically dry; much more backward than the Fuees. Slightly disjointed today, with a candied quality juxtaposed with fresh herbs and a menthol reserve. Finishes with substantial tannins that call for patience. Less pliant than the Chambolle bottlings here.
