2012 and 2011 Chablis (Jul 2013)

(from vines averaging 14 years of age): Pale, bright yellow. Orange zest, spices and fresh herbs on the slightly high-toned nose. Rather suave and juicy in the mouth, with good energy to its rich flavors of white peach, spices and stone. Not as ripe or Batard-like as the 2012 version, and showing less evidence of oak. Finishes long and harmonious. The 2012 may be deeper and more powerful but today I prefer the balance of this wine.
