2012 and 2011 White Burgundies (Sep 2013)

(this wine and the three grand crus were still in barrel, unracked, at the beginning of June, and were scheduled to be bottled at the end of the summer): Pale yellow. Enticing aromas of pineapple, crushed stone, flowers and vanillin oak. Very pure and penetrating, with pineapple and floral flavors supported by superb saline minerality and acid cut. The density and inner-mouth tension and energy of this wine reminded me of a 2010. Finishes very long, with a light touch. This wine has shown great balance since day one, noted Gublin.
