2012 and 2011 White Burgundies (Sep 2013)

(from 40-year-old vines in between Lafon’s two parcels, according to Colin): Captivating aromas of pineapple, lemon, tangerine, linden flower, exotic herbs and minerals. A step up in texture from the foregoing samples, with a lemon cream flavor framed by penetrating but harmonious acidity. Very rich, deep wine with the balance to give early pleasure but the acid cut and stony minerality to age gracefully. Showing beautifully today but there’s more to come.
