2016 & 2015 White Burgundy (Sep 2017)

(these vines were not stressed in 2015 due to the site’s moisture-retentive soil, according to winemaker Brian Sieve): Bright straw-yellow. Exotic pineapple and wild herbs on the nose. Then juicy, fresh and tightly wound, showing surprising lemony citricity and firming minerality. Surprisingly crisp and balanced for a south-facing vineyard in 2015, and not at all exotic.
