2016 White Burgundy: Excellent, But Complicated (Sep 2018)

(these vines suffered less from the frost than the Bienvenues): Riper aromas of stone fruits and clove suggest a fuller wine than the Bienvenues. Very rich but dry, with its sappy peach and orchard fruit flavors displaying excellent breadth. There’s a seductive umami texture in the middle but the finish is still a bit disjointed. This wine will require patience.
