A Century of Bordeaux: The Twos (Sep 2022)

The 2012 Domaine de Chevalier from magnum is very similar to the bottle on the nose with lovely loamy, red berry fruit. Very fine definition. The palate is well balanced with fine-boned tannins and well-judged acidity. There is an almost Burgundy-like texture towards the finish that lingers long in the mouth. Certainly, this larger format shows better than the bottle at the moment. Tasted at Bordeaux Index’s Ten-Year On tasting.
