A Woman’s Touch: Lafleur 1985-2022 (Sep 2025)

The 1994 Lafleur is far better than a “green” bottle tasted several years ago. It has a typical ’94 nose, a bit conservative with light redcurrant, loam and briary aromas, just a hint of peppermint emerging with time. The palate is medium-bodied with a rusticity that is more appealing than it was in the ’93. Though maybe just a bit dilute on the finish, this has an easygoing personality that is atypical for Lafleur. Tasted from ex-château magnum at Kate & Kon’s 40-Year vertical in Austria.
