Bordeaux 2011: Tales of Tannins and Terroir (May 2012)

Deep ruby. Cassis, violet and truffle on the rich nose. Then sweet and smooth on the palate, with ripe tannic support for the wine’s red fruit, tobacco and loam flavors. At once creamy and lively on the persistent finish. Insiders know that La Serre does very well in dry years thanks to the high clay content of its soil. So just like in 2003, when this wine was a major success, it performed well in 2011 too.
