Buckle Your Seatbelts: 2019 Brunello and 2021 Rosso di Montalcino (Dec 2023)

The 2016 Brunello di Montalcino is dark, dusty and floral, with hints of crushed stone and violet pastille embellishing black cherries. This is energetic and silky-smooth, with cooling minerality and juicy acidity, casting masses of tart wild berry fruits across a core of saline minerals. It leaves a staining of primary concentration, still so young, and grippy tannins that coat the entire palate, finishing long and spicy.
