Champagne: 2017 New Releases (Dec 2017)

The 2011 Brut Rosé is a reasonably good wine for the year, but the green, vegetal notes that are such a vintage signature are nevertheless present. There is just enough depth to the fruit to provide a measure of balance. The 2011 Brut Rosé is certainly better than the vintage wine of the same year. At the same time, it is hard to imagine why a house of Roederer’s standing felt compelled to release this Champagne.
