Dealing with the New Paradigm: Burgundy 2018 (Nov 2022)

The 2018 Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru has a discrete reduction on the nose with orange blossom and light peachy scents. Very perfumed and quite floral. The palate is well-defined with a fine bead of acidity, plenty of matière with a gentle build. The minerally undertow becomes more evident towards the finish. Quite a multi-faceted Bâtard-Montrachet, this will age wonderfully in bottle. Tasted blind at the Burgfest 2018 white tasting.
