Dom Pérignon Rosé Through the Decades at Vinous Icons

A second Methuselah of 2005 Dom Pérignon Rosé is served at lunch. I don’t think I have ever tasted any vintage of Dom Pérignon from Methuselah, let alone the Rosé, much less within the span of a few hours. It’s that kind of day. The second bottle is more delicate and quite a bit fresher, too, revealing a more nuanced side to the 2005 that I enjoy quite a bit. Mint, slate, cranberry, white pepper and chalk lend notable freshness and tension. This is just sublime. A great, great bottle.
