Focus on Barolo and Barbaresco (Nov 2007)

Palish cherry-red. Wonderfully perfumed aromas of red fruits, dried rose, flowers and herbs; this smells like a Chambolle from Freddy Mugnier. Wonderfully sweet and juicy, with lovely floral perfume and captivating, high-toned mineral delicacy to the raspberry and red cherry fruit flavors. The very long, youthfully austere finish features firm tannins that avoid coming off as dry. Today the 2004 seems a bit sweeter but more reduced.
