Focus on Barolo and Barbaresco (Nov 2009)

Good deep red. Complex, vibrant nose offers red plum, redcurrant and minerals; higher pitched and more vinous than the basic bottling. The most complex and complete in the mouth of these wines, displaying lovely perfumed flavors of cherry, plum, minerals and truffle. Firmly built, powerfully structured and impressively long and aromatic on the back end, with big but ripe tannins. This one should enjoy a long and positive evolution in bottle.
