Lagrange 1959-2015 (Dec 2020)

The 2002 Lagrange was picked 1 to 14 October. The nose, like many this vintage, feels a little staid nowadays with dusky black fruit, cedar and earthy aromas. It is not particularly memorable. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly chewy tannins and shows more brightness than the nose. Kirsch, cedar and tobacco towards the finish with a touch of black pepper on the aftertaste, it actually finishes better than you expect. Fine. Tasted at the Lagrange vertical at the estate.
