Mosel Riesling 2016 Part 1: From Extremes, Equilibrium (Jan 2018)

Headily sweet scents of gardenia, lily and honeysuckle mingle with those of fresh apple and pear, setting the tone for a succulently fruity, delicate palate loaded with inner-mouth perfume. With an enveloping sense of richness, the finish lingers lusciously, almost decadently. It would be a shame not to allow this some time in bottle before uncorking – advice which the Prüms would emphatically give you about all of their wines! (I have not tasted the A.P. #15 Wehlener Sonnenuhr Spätlese that was auctioned.)
