Very deep ruby-red. Intensely perfumed nose shows classic cabernet aromas of violet, cassis and cedar, along with earthy, farm floor undertones and assertive, slightly varnishy chocolatey oak. Rich, multilayered palate offers cassis, redcurrant, plum and some tarry prune-like notes, culminating in a warm, spirity and meaty finish hinting at energetic extraction. A big wine that just stays on the right side of overripeness.
