The 2012 Red Burgundies from Bottle (Mar 2015)

Bright medium red. Very ripe aromas of red cherry, wild herbs and flowers accented by a sexy hint of orange skin. Then juicy and tight in the mouth, in a distinctly more elegant style than the old-vines village offering, with little in the way of roasted fruit character. A medicinal black cherry flavor is nicely supported by ripe, firm tannins and a touch of underlying minerality.
